Spanish Inquisition Torture Methods

The inquisition's main purpose was the uncovering of false converts. To get the confessions out of the suspects, torture methods were employed some of which are:

1-The Strappado: where the victim was dangled from the ceiling by a rope attached to his hands, which in turn were tied around his back.

2-The Rack: where the victim was strapped to a wooden rectangular frame and stretched out.

3-The Judas Chair: where the victim would be sat down on a pyramid-shaped seat that would stretch out the orifice over a long period of time.
